I am the Founder of Balanced Ballerinas and Director of GC Dance

From slipping on my first pair of ballet shoes at three to training at Queensland Ballet’s Extension Program from age ten and The Australian Ballet School from age fifteen, ballet has been my lifelong passion. Yet, the anxiety of performing and pressure to be impossibly thin led me to reevaluate my path, ultimately choosing to pursue a Bachelor of Communications at The University of Queensland.

This shift empowered me to become one of the top adult ballet coaches globally, running a vibrant studio that welcomes students from all walks of life. With over 30 years of balletic experience, I specialise in making ballet accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

My journey includes training in various ballet styles, from Conservatoire of Ballet (Vaganova) to Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), alongside certifications as a Progressing Ballet Technique instructor and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

As a writer, podcaster, and entrepreneur, I advocate for breaking down the elitist barriers of ballet, exemplified through my podcast, The Balanced Ballerina. My greatest joy lies in watching my students transform in a supportive, fun environment, fulfilling my mission to share the beauty of ballet with all.
